GALANTE PARTNERS CONSULTING at COP29
As the urgency around climate action intensifies, the maritime industry continues to face growing pressure to accelerate its decarbonization journey. According to the latest developments following COP29 and in alignment with the IMO’s revised 2023 GHG Strategy, the sector is now aiming for a net-zero emissions target by around 2050, with indicative checkpoints of 30% reduction by 2030 and 70% by 2040.
Efforts such as the Green Shipping Challenge and newly announced green corridors reflect a clear global shift—placing maritime sustainability at the core of ESG strategies. Industry leaders are actively embracing zero-emission fuels, retrofitting fleets, and aligning with ESG frameworks to remain resilient and compliant.

Our Contribution to the Dialogue at COP29
Amidst these bold ambitions, GALANTE PARTNERS CONSULTING had the privilege to contribute by moderating the event titled “Navigating the Future: Decarbonizing Maritime for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” held during COP29 in Baku.
The session brought together international experts and leaders to reflect on both the challenges and groundbreaking innovations reshaping maritime transport. Our role in facilitating this dialogue was rooted in our commitment to support sustainable transitions across sectors, and to amplify actions that are not only strategic—but essential for our collective future.
While the event took place in November 2024, its message continues to echo in 2025—as the maritime sector transforms its operating model to meet ESG-driven expectations, climate goals, and investor requirements.
We are proud to be part of this journey and remain dedicated to guiding organizations across industries in aligning their strategy with sustainability and resilience.
